چکیده

Morphological variations in species with a relatively broad distribution, including the genus Tytthosincus, were likely result of island isolation. This research was conducted to map morphological Tytthoscincus Indonesia. A total 32 specimens scientific collection Zoologicum Bogoriense Museum (MZB) - National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) identified as T. temmincki, textus, parvus have been examined data which includes six morphometric characters 12 meristic characters. Morphometric analyzed univariate multivariate. Univariate analysis carried out by Kruskal-Wallis test, while multivariate done Principal Component Analysis (PCA) test. The results showed morphology temmincki namely number loreal scales tympanum diameter. Both textus consist two groups, but variation this study has yet provide certainty different species. However, one Type 2, isolated from other on Jampea Island, Sulawesi. Further needed clarify taxonomic status these increasing adequate samples supported molecular approach. Keywords: meristic, morphometric, species, Tytthoscincus, variation.

Distinct Patterns of Desynchronized Limb Regression in Malagasy Scincine Lizards (Squamata, Scincidae)

Scincine lizards in Madagascar form an endemic clade of about 60 species exhibiting a variety of ecomorphological adaptations. Several subclades have adapted to burrowing and convergently regressed their limbs and eyes, resulting in a variety of partial and completely limbless morphologies among extant taxa. However, patterns of limb regression in these taxa have not been studied in detail. Her...

Phylogenetic relationships and limb loss in sub-Saharan African scincine lizards (Squamata: Scincidae).

Skinks are the largest family of lizards and are found worldwide in a diversity of habitats. One of the larger and more poorly studied groups of skinks includes members of the subfamily Scincinae distributed in sub-Saharan Africa. Sub-Saharan African scincines are one of the many groups of lizards that show limb reduction and loss, and the genus Scelotes offers an excellent opportunity to look ...

Systematics of the Carlia "fusca^^ Lizards (Squamata: Scincidae) of New Guinea and Nearby Islands

On New Guinea and its surrounding islands, an assortment of Carlia with weakly tricarinate to smooth dorsal scales has been variously recognized as C. fusca or members of ûic fusca group. The C. fusca group has never been defined or characterized explicitly, nor has any other group of Carlia. A preliminary cladistic analysis of the Australian, New Guiñean, and Sundan Carlia failed to identify s...
